Bianchi Aviation Film Services (BAFS) was established during the early 1960’s by Douglas Bianchi.

With an increasing number of films involving aircraft, Doug realised the need for a dedicated organisation that could support the film industry with its aviation requirements.

In 1962 Twentieth Century Fox Productions approached Bianchi Aviation Film Services to build and operate aircraft for their latest film “Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines” and so began a six year involvement working with Twentieth Century Fox which also included the film \”The Blue Max\” and the post production and promotional work advertising both films.

Many other important and universally known productions were to follow and by the early 1970’s Bianchi Aviation Film Services was firmly established within the film industry.

Following the death of Douglas Bianchi in 1977 Bianchi Aviation Film Services passed to Doug’s son Tony, who continues to provide the film industry with an unparalleled knowledge of aviation and aerial filming, adding over one hundred and fifty productions to the company’s impressive credit list.
